Bill Villarreal is EDGE FITNESS INC’s Director and heads our personal training program. He is a certified personal trainer & corrective exercise specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. “During six years of military service followed by 29 years of law enforcement, being physically fit has always been a priority of mine,” shared Bill.  Since 1985 Bill’s received a plethora of certifications which allows him to train people of all ages. “I believe that proper exercise and nutrition is the platform to reaching life goals.

Cassie Jacobson is certified through the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) and graduated with an associate degree in personal training and group fitness in 2014. “I love building people’s confidence through fitness,” Cassie said, “One of the best benefits of this job is when I challenge a person with a new exercise, new machine, or a different cardio routine, and then see their eyes sparkle when they see the improvement from day one to now.” Her favorite saying is “Strength comes in many shapes and sizes. Don’t spend your time trying to look like someone else. Embrace who you are and build your own strength.”

Justin R. Letkiewicz is certified through the National Exercise Trainers Association. “Personal Trainers are here to help you break through plateaus and keep moving forward,” Justin explained. “One of the biggest reasons one stops seeing progress is because they get caught up in doing the same routine over and over. With a personal trainer, you have someone by your side not only acting as a personal coach and motivator, but they can limit your chance of injury, and assist you in reaching goals you once thought were impossible.”

Sarah Julia Simpson is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in strength and conditioning from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is now pursuing a bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of Minnesota. I love personal training because I get to meet a variety of different people and help them learn about my passion – fitness,” explained Sarah. “I started personal training after I spent six months studying abroad in Australia. I came home 20 pounds heavier and decided I needed to whip myself back into shape. In the process, I furthered my knowledge with an associate degree in health and fitness which led to my current bachelor’s degree in exercise science.”

Kimberly B. Blanchard is a Certified Athletic Trainer who has a passion for all things health and wellness. “I recently got into personal training because I am passionate about preventing injuries,” she shared. “I also enjoy pushing and encouraging people to find out things they never knew they could accomplish. It’s definitely great seeing others get excited about their health! My main goal at Edge Fitness is to help others find their inner drive and become better versions of themselves.”
