Group Fitness InstructorAdam Kieffer has seven years ‘experience teaching Yoga and loves helping others achieve a healthy lifestyle. “Yoga can help people in their everyday life. Your body is trained by the physical poses, while also training your mind to stay calm during stressful situations.” Adam is certified in Corepower Yoga 200 hour teacher course. His favorite words to live by are “ Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu,” which is Sanskrit for “May all beings be happy and free, and may my thoughts and my actions contribute to the happiness and freedom of others”.
Group Fitness InstructorAshley Potter teaches Step-up and Butts & Guts. “I want everyone in my class to enjoy themselves whether that means helping achieve personal fitness goals or just having an hour of fun!” She loves exercise and fitness. “I believe that it should be fun and there are more ways than traditional methods such as running or lifting weights to do so. Exercise can be incorporated into everyday movements and activities and I’d like to share some alternative methods with others!”
Group Fitness InstructorBecky Salfai is our PIYO Instructor, giving our members a combination of Pilate’s strength and yoga flexibility in one class. She loves fluid choreography, and upbeat music , and she changes the PIYO routines every three months so you won’t get bored. “I believe in overall wellness,” Becky shared. “Eat clean, but splurge sometimes; exercise regularly, but listen to your body. Smile often and enjoy life!”
Group Fitness InstructorCarol Burken is our Group Fitness Manager. She’s certified, well, in almost every fitness genre: Zumba, Zumba Kids, Cycle 360, AFAA Group Fitness, Jillian Michaels BodyShred, YogaFit, and NASM Personal Training. As a music therapist, she automatically fell in love with the motivating magic of music and dance in Zumba and started teaching in 2011. Carol teaches because she wants to spark the fire in others so that they are motivated to go on their own fitness journey. “I want people to love the energy they feel during a class, and the wonderful feeling of accomplishment that comes after class,” shared Carol.
Group Fitness TrainerCindy Nogosek teaches Tone & Torch (TNT) and our Cycle classes. She has 16-years experience teaching Group Fitness Classes and has taught Cycle for eight years. “I just love helping our members with their workouts. I wish to make my classes enjoyable and keep Edge Fitness members motivated; you can change your body at any age!”
Group Fitness TrainerHayley Tyvoll is our INSANITY and Turbo Kick instructor, who loves the energy and excitement of both the classes and our members! Her biggest influences to teach are her former group fitness instructors. “I was greatly influenced by my hometown’s Turbo Kick instructor. When I left for college, I found the nearest available date for Turbo Kick Instructor Training. I aim to bring overjoyed excitement to my classes; hooting, hollering and sometimes singing is a specialty of mine!”
Group Fitness InstructorMaxine Mason has been practicing yoga for years. Yoga provides her with a sense of serenity. She has completed YogaFit Level 1 training, and is currently working on her 230-hour yoga study and teacher training through the Yoga Center of Minneapolis.
Group Fitness TrainerNicole Putratz is an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and NASM Certified PersonalTrainer. She has been teaching and training for over 4 years. Nicole teaches a variety of classes and train all ages! “I love helping others reach their goals, whether it’s to gain muscle, lose weight, build endurance or just live a healthier lifestyle!!”
Group Fitness TrainerNicole “Nikki” Smith currently teaches POUND™, which is a super fun jam session incorporating cardio and simulated drumming, at Edge Fitness. She is also certified in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Kids and is certified in First Aid, CPR and AED. She began a love for fitness as a result of her dad being a mobile DJ. “I would help him with events, one of which was Line Dancing. I learned how to dance and got good at it!” Nikki taught Line Dancing for 26 years and Group Fitness classes for five. “It is amazing what people movement and music can DO for your health,” she explained. “I want you to come to class mostly to socialize and have fun; anything more you attain, fitness-wise, is an added bonus!”
Group Fitness TrainerPam Hess is a Certified Spinning Instructor and instructs Cycle Class. She teaches because she has a great desire to do more in the fitness industry and help others achieve their fitness goals. She takes pride in any activity she undertakes and enjoys weight lifting, cardio training, reading and spending time with her dog. Pam’s motto: “Always strive to be better today than I was yesterday.”
Group Fitness TrainerSara Pennington is a certified Zumba Basic One & Two Instructor. “It’s my hope that you come to class to have some fun, release stress, and improve both your confidence and fitness level.” In addition to teaching Zumba at EDGE FITNESS INC., Sara taught the free Zumba on the Plaza in summer.
Group Fitness TrainerStacy Wilson loves teaching Zumba because it combines her two favorite passions; dance and fitness. While she was young she took dance lessons and was on the dance team. “I a Wife and Mother who loves to stay active and EDGE FITNESS is the perfect fit for me and I think it will be for you too. Group Fitness TrainerStephanie Neher has six years of experience teaching Zumba and is certified in Zumba Basics and Zumba Toning. “I began on my Zumba quest after attending a mother’s group event that showcased a Zumba teacher,” shared Stephanie. “After one song I was hooked and wanted to become a teacher. I love teaching others in my classes to let loose, have fun moving their bodies, and watching their faces as they leave, sweating and smiling, ready for more!”
